This product consists of one month of UHIP coverage for the dependant of a student who has finished their academic program (graduated) and will soon attend their convocation ceremony. Graduates are allowed to apply for coverage for their dependant as follows:

- Summer graduates: allowed to apply for up to six months of coverage (September 2024 to February 2025)

- Fall graduates: not allowed, as they maintain UHIP coverage until August 2025

- Winter graduates: allowed to apply for two months of coverage (September and October 2025)

UHIP coverage must be provided for a continuous period of time, so all extensions begin in September. Students cannot extend their dependant's UHIP coverage beyond the end date of their visitor/study/work permit. 

Tax is included in the cost of the product. As premiums may increase for the 2025-2026 year, the graduate may not yet purchase coverage for the period of September 1, 2025 to August 31, 2026. This will only be possible on August 1, 2025.
